The practice of Boca at the Arroyo Seco training ground left a viral post. While the team led by Rodolfo Arruabarrena was finalizing preparations to visit Newell's on Sunday, the same complex was also working at Rosario Central. The coincidence allowed for a new reunion between two old friends: Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María.

It was the captain of Boca himself who shared the moment on his social media. "Friend of mine", he wrote alongside a video showing them conversing, smiling, and enjoying the chat, each one dressed in the training gear of their club.

The image quickly multiplied on social media and reflected once again the close relationship between two footballers who shared some of the biggest recent successes of the Argentine national team.

What happened?

The last confrontation between the two inside a stadium was a few months ago, when Boca and Rosario Central drew 1-1 at the Gigante de Arroyito.

Why it matters for Rosario Central?

The friendship between Paredes and Di María was built over almost a decade in the national team and also during their shared steps at Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

What comes next?

The bond also transcended football. In different interviews, Paredes said that the families maintain a very close relationship and revealed that he was one of the first to learn about Di María's return to Rosario Central.

For now, the project of directing together in the future will have to wait. While their careers continue, football crossed them again in Rosario and gave an image that awakened the nostalgia of the fans and showed once again a friendship that remains intact.
