Anti-Racism Campaign

Corinthians launched a social media initiative to combat racism ahead of their Copa Libertadores clash with Rosario Central. The message included a step-by-step guide to report incidents, following goalkeeper Hugo Souza's racist abuse in the first leg. The club reiterated that discriminatory behavior has no place in football.

Rosario Central's Response

The Argentine club responded to the incident by demanding irrefutable evidence of the allegations presented unilaterally by the player. Rosario Central asked Conmebol to review the complaints and require the referee to provide solid proof, rejecting the claim of insults.

Second Leg Match

The second leg will be played on August 20 at 21:30. Corinthians must win to advance, while a draw would send it to penalties. Rosario Central would progress with a victory away.
